Water Softening Systems
Water Softening Systems remove the hardness present in the water.
Working Principle
The raw water passes through the softener resin where ion exchange takes place. The hardness causing ions namely calcium and magnesium are replaced with sodium ions. The soft water is obtained as the output of the softener.
As per the SOP*, resin regeneration has to be done periodically.
